Hope it doesn’t suck, sorry if it does
Some years ago, I was cooking dinner for my partner and myself and I was unsure of the results. It might have been a rice dish or maybe it was the first time I tried making Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s Cast Iron Seitan Steak & Onions. Either way, as I say, I wasn’t sure it was going to be good. I was pretty nervous because, as I recall, we were both hungry and it had taken a long time. As I brought our plates to the table I started singing a little song. “Hope it doesn’t suck. Sorry if it does.” Since then, my partner and I sing that song a lot.
That’s what this is all about. I hope it doesn’t suck and I’m sorry if it does. To be fair, and in my defense, I probably didn’t ask you to read this. Still, though, I’m sorry.
